The Cancel Club

As I rushed to my flight yesterday, hurriedly scrambling through lines, I could not have predicted that hours later I would still be at the airport in Louisville, unable to get back to Dallas. I was with hoards of other people, all stuck with no plane and no alternate plan for new equipment. The irony of flight 1009 was that 2 weeks prior the exact scenario had occurred.

As we stood in the line to get hotel vouchers and rescheduled flights, we made acquaintances. I had the chance to meet Chuck and Mel, partners in the restaurant business that own Fuzzys Taco Shops. Consultants, company owners, people traveling for fun- we were all part of the 'Cancel Club'.

This morning I road to the airport with the flight crew. Since they were cancelled, they will not be paid for the flight- and I thought I'd had a bad day!
