I beleive that we should have anchors and sails in our life. I consider anchors pivotal events that we will remember for years to come and sails are consistent regular events that keep the wind in our sails. (Yes, I've made up these images and words to delight you in Book 2- out soon) (smile).
We decided last Saturday to have a family anchor event. Heather wasn't feeling well and decided not to go, and I let Brandon decline as well (unusual, I don't normally let them skip out of family time). So, Michael and I, Caleb and 2 of his friends, Leighton and Blake, headed off to see Shrek the Musical. It was delightful.
I sat back and listened to the cheery music, watched the costumes float across the stage and experienced pure moments of relaxation. What a pleasant time it is to escape away from the stresses of life and bury yourself in music and frivolity. I thighly recommend it.
